Scully sat at his desk, on his computer, attempting to pull up a website about child ghost hunters. He paced, turning over a sharpened pencil between his fingers.
“Mulder, I need your help,” she said.
“What wrong?” He approached her and stood behind the chair she was sitting in.
“It says error.” Scully pointed at the box on the screen.
“It shouldn’t.” Mulder leaned over her, getting a closer look.
“It does.”
“What did you do?” he asked.
“I didn’t do anything,” she answered defensively. “I opened the web page and it said ‘error.’”
“Hold on.”
Mulder pressed a few buttons and then tried to close the window. The window froze in a half blur.
“And now you froze it,” she stated.
“Well you broke it first.”
He tried a few keyboard combinations, but to no avail.
“Now what?” She glanced up at him.
“What was done when boredom set in before the dawn of computers, Scully?”
“Work?” she suggested.
“Nah.” He shook his head. “Teaching. Learning.”
“And what are you going to teach me?”
Mulder shot the pencil in his hands up into the ceiling, causing it to stick point first. He brought his gaze to her and smirked.
