A very confusing species

I've just realized that some woman tend to be very stand-offish. Someone tell me why.

"Some women" isn't a broad generalization.

yes, it is. it's specifying as women. why not say "some people?" its like you eliminated half of society as if to imply that only women could be but men couldnt be.

maybe the women are "standoffish" because you give them no reason to be nice to you.

No, I am nice to them. The guys I see talking to the girls are rude and obnoxious which the girls tend to respond to.
