I won't roll it up unless I have to (i.e. I have guests over or have to vacuum or something). It'll be interesting to see how well behaved it is when the time comes.
Unfortunately, I don't have a great plan for it when done. I might try to mount it on a wall. That'll probably depend on whether I feel like spending the money on materials at that point. I might just carefully fold it into sections and put it back in the box for when I do feel like it. I'd hate to throw something like that away.
My niggling fear is that it'll have a few pieces missing. A few years ago, I put together a 6000-piece of St. Peter's Basilica. It was missing six pieces from the middle. The company that sold it no longer existed.
