From Oprah.com with Jenny McCarthy on it...
In recent years, the number of children diagnosed with autism has risen from 1 in every 500 children to 1 in 150-and science has not discovered a reason why. Jenny says she believes that childhood vaccinations may play a part. "What number will it take for people just to start listening to what the ( Read more... )

yeah.
there are some really good books out there about vaccines.
i am kind of crazy about it actually.
i wouldnt let them give him vitamin k at birth.
you know how they take them to the other side of the room to clean them off.
i was yelling accross the room."no shots and no drops in his eyes!absolutley nothing!"
its so scary.
and the shit that they put in the vaccines that no one knows about. its crazy.

I told them no vitamin k and no eye stuff originally, but I didn't really do any research on it and only saw one website about it so I wasn't confident in my decision so when they sent someone in there to talk me out of not doing it I gave in and just let them do it, but I definitely didn't let them give him any shots!

my sister works with plenty of autistic children that haven't been vaccinated. I've said it once, and i'll say it again.. no one can "catch" autism. Either your kid will have it or they won't. I believe it is genetic. There are plenty of children who have been vaccinated and nothing is wrong with them. It's just like the whole ADD thing where EVERYONE's child suddenly had "add" or "adhd" it's crazy, especially since no one really knows how it's caused. Anyway, for the people who are thinking about vaccinating their children, there is a book I've read called "raise a smarter child by kindergarten" by Dr. David Perlmutter. The doctor in that book says that asking for single dosed vaccines are much better than the double dosed vaccines that contain higher levels of mercury to preserve shelf life.

Anyway, I think every parent has the right to do what they want with their children, but just wanted to let you know kids can have autism with out vaccines.

I already know that, I just know that it has increased dramatically since the introduction of different vaccinations ect.
But you also have to think about this:
Merck is making billions of dollars telling you to vaccinate to make your child 'safer', but what are the parent's of the children hurt/killed by them gaining by telling other parents? I really don't see why they would say any of this if there wasn't any truth to it.

I definitely think every parent has the right to vaccinate, but I just don't like when it's mindlessly done because everyone is doing it. I'm glad you are so well educated and you know what is best for your baby!!!

i have worked with lots of autistic children (i used to work for the state doing in-home care). at least half of the parents felt there was a direct link to vaccines. i differ with the above poster who said that "either you will get it or you wont". at least one parent i worked side by side with said her son was normal and then one day following a shot -- BAM. he undergoes weekly heavy metal leeching (called keylation therapy) which she feels is because of the thimerosal he received in his shot(s). i think there are predisposed people, but no - i dont think it's as simple as you have it or you wont in every case.

That's exactly why I'm NOT vaccinating because I do know about them and I have researched them ( ... )

But then again, you're trusting the government and the drug companies who are making money off of telling you this.
Why would I stop comments? I don't mind that you disagree with me, just don't tell me I'm killing my child by not mindlessly following what other people tell me to do and I actually researched this shit. I realize there are two sides, but I chose to believe the one that isn't benefiting from any of this. I don't trust the government or drug companies. So, there you go. :*
