i dunno, dude, america sucks at everything.

you're certainly not the only one, but it's not the most talked about thing right now (or ever) either. besides, it's not the first time we've violated geneva (see vietnam).

here's the thing. in the ways that it is currently interpreting and carrying out a number of things right now, america is sucking. but it is only though commitment to the preservation or restoration of concepts like free speech and representational democracy and patriotism that a country can hopefully be turned around. otherwise you're just abandoning it to the wildebeasts (ie, religious right, hawk conservatives, jingoistic masses, corporate interests, et al.)
