summary: basically, it's just minho saving onew from human trafficking

idk if anybody is going to see this but anyways this is a fic i've been plotting for a very long time now, i haven't started writing it until recently. i'm not sure if i should continue or not :/ it's unbeta'd btw, so beware of the mistakes! thanks to miwi who read through it already :D

he doesn’t know why he keeps going back, maybe this time will be different, minho tries to convince himself, but who is he kidding? he’s only fooling himself.

minho arrives at a building that looks dark and abandoned. most of the windows on the building are barely intact and broken, the red paint is faded, the steel looks old and rusty, and birds have nests on window sills. everything about the building looks like it could collapse if you placed your hand on it.

minho steps out of his multi-million silver sports car revealing shiny, black leather shoes and a black and white business suit he’s wearing. his hair is longer than how he normally likes it, friends and co-workers say it’s a refreshing look, minho plans to get a haircut soon. he straightens out his suit then takes a deep breath getting prepared for what is behind those doors.

minho walks towards a door that has a “do not enter” sign, the door is steel and rusty like the other doors on the building.

the steel door shuts loudly behind minho and he’s greeted by a familiar male. he’s shorter than minho; the height is noticeable between them. the older male is already losing hair and has a bald spot on his head. he’s on overweight side, his beer belly slightly visible. he smells like soju and dirty laundry, it was as if he prayed peppermint all over his clothes making it smell like he actually does his laundry, but the grease and sweat stains clearly states he doesn’t. the shorter male would say he’s envious of minho and wished he had his good-looking genes.

“i knew you would be back,” the older male’s voice is raspy. minho only nods his head, not bothering to start a conversation because the old man wouldn’t let him talk anyway, minho doesn’t mind since he doesn’t have anything to say to him.

the old man grabs a ring that has (too many to count) keys attached to it from a nail stick out of the wall, then he leads minho through the depths of the building. the place is way too big, the air smells stale and it’s so damp. you can hear the rats run around. the old man stops in front of a door, he gives minho a smirk while opening the door.

it was dark in the room minho could barely see a thing, gasps and ushers were heard and shuffles, the old man switches the a light on. minho saw people squinting from the dull light like they haven’t seen it in ages, when minho got a better look he saw that they all quite young, most in their teenage years, others in their early twenties, they all wore dirty and ratty clothes, they all looked thin and starving,

minho locked eyes with the first person his saw, his almond eyes caught his attention, his eyes were filled with dark brown, tired and pain. his eyes told him he wasn’t afraid, more like annoyed with him, even though he hasn’t seen this before in his life. his eyes followed his cheeks and to the bridge of his nose, then down to his lips. he noticed that the person was biting inside his cheeks as if he was nervous.

“him.”

it was a simple word, he said it without realising it. the old man looked at him skeptical, he cleared his throat, “are you sure?”

minho nodded his head, their eyes are still locked. until the other male looked away, minho straightened up.

the other man didn’t seem pleased, he didn’t want minho to take him because he was like a bad dog that nobody liked. he crossed his arms then shook his head.

“i’ll give you ten,” minho said firmly.

the old man stared at minho in disbelief then scoffed, “trust me kid,” he turned to glare at the person minho wanted. “you don’t want him,” he looked back at minho.

minho raised his eyebrow in curiosity, to convince him it only took him to say a few numbers higher and he got them.

he saw the man giggling while looking at all the contents inside the suitcase, “don’t come crying back with him. a deal is a deal.”

minho opened the passenger door for the young looking boy. he kept his head down and always hid his face ever since minho said that he was going to take him. when minho shut the door for him then walked around to the other side of the car on the opposite side window. they haven’t exchanged words yet and they remained silent as minho started the car and drove out onto the highway.

minho doesn’t feel exactly bothered by the silence between them, the radio wasn’t on so his mind was racing with thoughts that he should ask but wasn’t sure if it was a right time to ask them, considering that they just met. minho should just stay with the basics.

“so what’s your name?” minho asked the other male.

minho’s passenger started to shift in his seat as if he got nervous once he heard minho’s voice. he sat up straighter and licked his plump lips then cleared his throat, he faced forward to the road in front of them.

“onew,” he said it quietly, almost a whisper but it wasn’t a mumbled, yet it was audible to minho’s ears.

silence.

‘onew’ slightly turned back to stare at the window again, minho didn’t bother talking anymore so he turned on a radio, he doesn’t know what station it is but all he know it was playing country music. all he needed was just a name, his name.

onew stared out the window, the sound of the slow music that was playing made his eyes droop, he stared outside at the trees that lead the highway, then the trees started to mesh into a blur, he wasn’t sure if the car going fast or the fact he was slowly drifting off to sleep.

onew kept telling himself to stay awake and he fought to keep his eyes open, sleep was slowly winning. next thing he knew it, when he opened his eyes he saw that they were still traveling. it was dark outside and he could see the stars way high up in the sky, he looked down then noticed he was covered up with a blanket. his body still felt so tired, he moved into a more comfortable position then he drifted off to sleep again.

the next time he woke up, he was in a high class hotel, onew swore it was suite, he has never seen a hotel beautiful as this. in fact, onew hasn’t gone to many hotels anyways. maybe it wasn’t a hotel and it was minho’s place, there was so many “what if’s” questions unanswered.

he looked at the king size bed that he was on, and noticed that somebody slept beside him.

wait. did minho drug onew and had his ‘way’ with him?

onew immediately panicked, he quickly threw the fluffy blanket he was sleeping with when he discovered that he wasn’t wearing the same clothes when the left the ugly building. he was wearing grey sweat pants and a green shirt. he jumped out of the bed then slowly tiptoed towards the door, onew paused for a minute gathering all his courage before exiting the room.

onew slowly opened the door then he was met face-to-face with minho. minho’s eyes widen with surprise, onew noted how they looked like they would jump out of his face. “oh, you’re up,” minho stated.

onew stumbled backwards managing to land on his ass, minho quickly ran towards onew, he looked up and saw minho’s worried eyes. all onew could think how weird this guy is and why he hasn't done anything with him yet. when minho touched onew to help him up, he flinched away.

minho’s heart pounded so fast he swore it was going to jump out of his chest. suddenly, he felt sorry for onew, even guilty. he watched onew tremble on the floor, he doesn’t know what to do.

“i’m sorry,” minho said lowly. “do you want breakfast?” he straightens up.

he watched onew slowly get up from the ground, he keeps his head down as they exit the room,
