Keroro Gunso Anime officially ending

Feb 25, 2011 19:31

(I am VERY surprised that no one has talked about this yet.)

Well, you can see the official Keroro Twitter page here. It has already come and gone, but there was important news on the newest Keroro Land, released on February 9, and they apparently posted online by the official twitter account on the same day ( Read more... )

I followed the anime up to 200-something eps and then gave up afterwards. I don't know if it's just me but it felt repetitive and boring after ep 100 upwards. The last movie was also so-so (I watched it at the cinema and fell asleep middleway).

But I'm glad the manga is still continuing ^^

I have followed the anime for 180+ episodes myself. So, I think that it's a big chunk to watch, don't you? Plus, I have dropped it from my favorite Anime list for almost a year now and I have stopped watching it all together. But, to pay my respects to the Anime I'm going to watch the very last episodes that are going to be broadcast :B

*sigh* It was an amazing Anime in the beginning there. That's why I am so tempted to buy the DVDs that FUNimation has come out with. So I can watch them with English subs and relive the glory days of the Anime. Before, well, Pururu showed up. I'm sorry, but you can almost trace back to that exact point when the Anime started going downhill. I know she has fans, but COME ON. Now, well, we have episodes where Keroro and the gang have to go to the bathroom and they have to find one all across town *shudders ( ... )

*sigh* So, so true. It would have been better for all of us. Or, at least follow the Manga a lot better for gawd sakes ;^^

It really is for the best now. I mean, it got REALLY funky a long time ago. Sad to say, but it's true. If it stayed like it was in the first 3 seasons, it would have been an amazing Anime to follow till the end. Oh, and incorporate characters like Shurara (whom was in the 6th season I believe). But, now, it's "blah" and I for one am no longer interested in it to tell the honest truth. Oh, and SOOOOOOO much missed potential that it's saddening to say the least. I mean, Alisa Southerncross is a prime example of it. But, yeah, their antics is and always will be something to smile and snicker at.

The Dragon Warriors movie? Yeah, it was definitely lacking in several ways. But, a great figure by WAVE came out of it. WIN.

And, yes, still I can't help but to enjoy them all. And, I will be collecting the Manga till it stops for good. Because, to me, it's still completely worth it :D

Yeah - good times, good times.
