Most people advise at least taking some sort of break before diving right into grad school, whether that be traveling or working a bullshit job or two. The latter especially will make you appreciate extra school MUCH more than having just left school. I took a break myself before entering Portfolio Center, and while the couple odd jobs I worked were a joke, I did learn a lot about myself - that I was probably not in the best field for me outside the classroom, what I can and can't take in a job, etc. The people at school I know who came straight from college were burnt out coming in, and now it's even worse. Anyway, taking a break will give you a chance to think about what you want/need to do with your life

I keep hearing that I should take a break before grad school. I'm applying next semester already; as I'm a psych/art major, and you really can't do much with just a BA in psych. though, I've got only one year left after this semester and i'm already a bit burnt (lucky though, because after this I'll only be taking 12 credits a semester).

Though, if you just want to be an artist...some say grad school is kind of pointless, but personally I don't think it is (I really like classroom structure, and that extra push profs give). If you wanted to be more practical, start your own shop, you could go back to school for business? hrm. :/
