My Federal income taxes are done! Not as bad as I thought they would be. In fact, being a paranoid personality I had too much withheld and I am getting a big refund! *does the happy dance*

Now off to the farmer's market. Then back home for laundry and maybe some yard work. : D

Then the state taxes. : (

Yeaaaa! Congrats! You and I are similar, I'd rather get money back than have to pay out any day. ;)

Well, the state ate up 3/4 of what I was getting back from the Federal returns. : (

But I am still getting money back so I guess I can't complain. I thought I would have to pay both of them!

Ug, that sucks, but yes, at least you're getting monies back! :) If Turbo Tax had its way I would have had to pay OR. They were all "Pay to upgrade from the free version of our software and we'll do a TURBO search through your forms!"

Uuuuuhm, no. While downloading paper forms via the IRS website, I found a handy little update/notation and POOF! Instead of paying, I got $50 back! >:)

Just now I checked my email and the Feds did not like something that I had done on my return. I went back checked it, reread the directions and behold...they get to give me $180 more. Feeling encouraged by this stroke of luck I decided to see what changes that had made with the state...I owe $11 less. This is all because the investment company did not deduct money for the state, only the Feds, from my payout. ARGH!!!!!!!!!

But I am still coming out ahead! : )

Just not as much as I thought I would.
