sometimes a good news post is needed
Decided to do an update for anyone that might be interested.
Craig and I are making progress in working things out. I would have bet against it at the beginning and there is no guarantee that it will work out. But things are in the process of significantly improving.
There is still much work to be done, but I have some hope. -

Yeah, so the house was just so peaceful this morning. I took care of a few pesky weeds that thought they should pop up in my fledgling garden. (Curse you thistles!) Added a few more bean seeds to the areas in the row where the seeds either didn't come up or didn't survive. Then had to take a quick trip to Walmart to get a new hose and a new ( Read more... ) -

As some may know I joined an LJ group whose goal is to walk 1000 miles in a year about a year ago. Well, I think that a goal like that is best accomplished in California or some other place where the weather is not so volatile. Food!!!
Today marks another passing year for my baby. It also marks passing into a new decade. In our family that means food. Not just any food but Lasagna and seven layer salad. The cake may vary from year to year and person to person but the dinner itself is always the same. Spent this morning fulfilling that desire. Lasagna is always better the second ( Read more... ) -

Vegas Baby
Tueday's trip to Vegas via Oakland was a total disaster. Took 5 hours to fly from Chicago to Oakland due to a 100 mile/hr head wind. When I got there I thought that I would see if I could get a better seat/boarding pass for my flight to Vegas at 11pm only to discover that I did not have a flight...I was suppose to fly Aloha Air which had declared ( Read more... ) -

Its Vegas baby! I leave for Vegas tomorrow. It will be an extremely LONG day since I will be stopping in the Bay area for about 10 hours.

Carmel, our very strange little dog has been digging up treats that she had hidden over the winter months. While Silvertaine was visiting she bought rawhide chews for the dogs. Apparently Carmel wanted hers to age a little and acquire a more musty taste. Today is the second time that she brought in a very muddy but yet still stiff rawhide chew. It ( Read more... ) -

About a week and a half ago I applied for a job that I really would like to have. I meet all the requirements. The only way to apply is on line. I got the obligatory response of "we got your application, give us time, don't call us, we'll call you" 24 hours later. But no, I have not heard back from them.
