I’ve been watching Chuck. Very enjoyable viewing. So enjoyable, I don’t want to analyse it except to say I’m a fan. I think I like it because I don’t ship on that show at all. I love a lot of male characters but I think I like the show for the friendships and light-hearted escapism. I haven’t had a show I’ve enjoyed for that reason since Pushing ( Read more... )

I just love having another TB person on my list! I'm not into fandom very much, just watch the show and read some, so it's great to see someone elses thoughts on it all.

Book Four: The best part for me about book four was the fact that it was later revealed that he was running home. And home was Sookie. I don't know that they'll be able to work that excuse on the show given his strong relationship with Pam.

Sookie: Book!Sookie and Show!Sookie are equally stupid. For real. She's a dumb blonde in the books but as she gets older she understands more. I really can't stand the way that show!Sookie is willing to forgive Bill ANYTHING. It pisses me off royally. Bill is a douche. He really proved that this season and she's totally willing to save him and move on with their life together. It's lame. Annoying. Unbelievable. Aggrivating ( ... )

Home? I always thought it was to his 'heart's desire'. I'm probably remembering that wrong. I liked that too because Sookie had been putting up walls and denying everything Eric told her because she was insecure about his age, experienced and her own attraction to him. But she couldn't deny the truth in that spell.

I sort of liked how we found that out later but I was annoyed she put off 'the conversation' between them until it was no longer relevant to anything happening in the books.

I don't think it will be the same on the show at all. It's something about the way they've changed Eric's history to be tied up with weres who drink vampire blood. That was not in the books but it was weres who drink vampire blood that cast the spell on him. Soo....who knows if they'll introduce the witches or not? *crosses fingers* If it's not a spell, I don't think the amnesia storyline will work for me.

As always didn't read the book spoilers, but I pretty much agree word for word with everything you said re: the show. Other than Eric, and moments here and there with other characters (but, alas, not consistently), this season is REALLY a mess.

I only did it occasionally in the past because I mainly love Eric and there was so little Eric in past seasons. I am trying to do every episode this season. As you can see, I'm desperate for Eric fans who have read the books!!!! It's important to vent even if you still like the show. :)

Eric saw that and decided to play sycophant which is suiting Russel just fine.Exactly. I think that is why they had Eric say to Lafayette: "Going in all flash and fire. That's not salesmanship, that's ego." (I think I may have messed up that quote - but you get the gist ( ... )
