laughs, leaves and a simpler time

i looked out my window today, and a quarter of the leaves on the tree outside were suddenly bright red. it is beautiful, all the leaves changing, but it also feels sort of like the trees are sick. it doesn't seem natural that their leaves should violently change colors and then fall off but they do for one reason or another. this place is so
