I don't usually listen to Western music but lately I've been following She & Him. There's something about Zooey D's voice that kind of pulls me in. Their Volume 2 was out today I think.. listen to some previews!
So with the power of my people and their speedy subbing skills and my awesome skimming drama powers, I finished watching Bloody Monday2. I haven't really blogged about this drama much, because I didn't really have much time, and a lot of the things pissed me off.
I mean I still love BM2, it's not bad, and the characters are all so much love.. but it pissed me off how J was pretty much limited to his damned bed for 95% of the time. And then they kill off Maya in like episode 4 or something? WTH? I was half expecting it to be a false death and for her to miraculously come and save Falcon and Otoya's life in the end, but nope, she was dead for good. Again, WTH? Don't make her and J part of the main cast if they're so limited and will only be on the show for less than half the time! UGH. Also, the random scenes of K who ISNT dead. WTH. I hate how they pretty much didn't explain why she was alive or just kept randomly putting shots of her humming creepy lullabys and playing games in prison. A really pretty white one. I hate how they try to make her/this part of the story all mysterious when in truth it just bugged me a lot. Putting the negative part aside... of course I still love it. HAHA.
- I'm so serious you guys. Cast is amazing. To the MAX. There is possibly no one in there that can't act.. ok well maybe dead aoi, but she's dead in the first episode (I didn't really like her in the first season anyways because she seemed so boring as a character to me, but uhh poor Aoi for dying!)
- I was so hesitant about the input of Mizusawa Hibiki, but Kurokawa Tomoko definitely proves that she has talent. She's actually one that's never appealed to me in any of her acting before, but I do think that half the time it's because I HATE her characters. After watching her on Domoto Kyoudai, I come to think of her as rather cute in personality and really innocent, so I forgave her for having such incompetent characters and her role in BM2 is rather amazing. She comes off as this lulzy annoying/irritating girl that happens to be Falcon's co-worker. WHEN IN TRUTH, she's actually .. I don't really know what she was actually lol, just that she received super awesome under cover-like training from her government, and in the drama, she sought out to kill the terrorists in this season because they were betrayers. I think she was splendid. She was on a roll!!!!!
- Otoya definitely has more character this time around, he's mixed with a lot of different emotions, especially in the beginning when best friend Aoi dies, and he's so tangled up with Orihara Maya. (I kind of ship them together, because MAN, THE CHEMISTRY!!) Speaking of Maya, I also love the relationship she had with Kano.. it felt so smitten , and well Kano is Kano, I'm glad he got more scenes too, it was rather exciting!
- J will be forever amazing, even if he was incapable of doing anything except faking spasms in his hospital bed. Honestly, he really fooled me to the end. Well close to the end anyways, I thought he would die from radiation was it? But he actually faked it all and planned it for Spider (terrorist). His love for his sister confuses me, but it's sweet I guess. I love it when he smiles. like the little.. kitten like smile that he has. It's so adorbs. And his blonde hair is hot. haha.
- Haruka.... gets scenes. Like I don't get it. At all. Ok I lied I get it, but I don't really understand the impact she has in this season.. She has a classmate that gets bullied, and she tries to .. rescue him? And in between the whole drama is pretty much the boy trying to kill himself, and her being worried, the boy trying to kill others, and her being worried, and then the boy trying to save others but accidentally gets shot, and she being worried.. Yeah. That's what I thought.
Shall I move on to the terrorists?
- Ladybird, she's a terrorist that's trying to be Orihara Maya or something, I don't get it much because they never focused in on the reason why they both take the name Orihara Maya, but... it's cool, they totally duel it out and she eventually kills Maya T_T Don't worry though, Hibiki kills her in revenge. lol. But this chick is so flair! She's totally amazing and has great shot and reminds me of a Japanese friend. AND, the terrorists in this season totally speak different languages. It's.. wicked. She's just SO FIERCE! RAWR!
- Hornet, it starts off with Hornet beating Falcon and everyone's like OHSHITWHAT? BUT GUESS WHO IT IS? I was like OH SNAP when I saw, it's Kamiki Ryunnosuke! aka Q in Tantei Gakuen Q! This boy has so much talent, I'm so glad he was in here as hornet... the showdown irl between Haruma and him was so much amazement. For 1 minute I was like.. damn haruma, he is pwning you! But then of course Haruma totally shows off his acting skills and I'm like. ok nevermind, they are both too talented for words. I've seriously never seen Kamiki act in something like this so it was rather refreshing. He was kind of creepy crazy, geek kinda thing. Awesomes.
- Spider, we didn't really learn about Spider until we knew who Hornet's true identity was, and then we didn't know who Spider was until the end. THE ENTIRE TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS MINAMI, because I never would have guessed it was J's doctor. She looked SO innocent throughout the entire drama, so when it was revealed that she's actually Spider, the leader of the group of terrorists this time around, I was hella shocked. And when she admitted it, she was soooooo creepy, it was kind of like a 180 degree change,... so impressive! She knew Falcon since they were kids because her dad is the professor that got murdered in last season... the one who like invented the virus, and was best buds with Falcon's dad... but then her parents got divorced therefore the change in name, and uh yeah. She sought revenge!
And of course, our main lead.
- Falcon, bb was intense. So many different sides to him this time around. Especially nearing the end when he knew of Spider, and wanted to know so many things as to why Spider knows him/has always been watching him etc. He just had to know the truth and the determination is so lively. I still love it when he cries, except from what I remember from last season, he always cried (beautiful!) because of friend's deaths and stuff, but then some of the scenes here when he cries are pretty much his ego getting hit. I mean he was seriously pissed off that Spider kept beating him in everything, he felt so useless, but bb held it up in the end :D Bravo. And the look he has whenever an ally is about to fight till death, he knows it's so dangerous but unstoppable and he makes them promise to not die. Ok that was just for Hibiki, I think I ship them together yo.
-I wonder if there will be a season 3, J is out and about and not dying, and he is with his sister... will there be no end to it? o_O? I wonder.
