I think the biggest thing I've learned from captioning phone calls is that life slips through your fingers like dry sand; this is a phenomenon that happens to everyone, everyone, eventually. It's so sad to hear old people talk about how young they feel on the inside while they're body and their world is collapsing around them with age and everyone
