How healthy or unhealthy is it to burn a candle in your room before you go to sleep?

Note: Leaving the window open so there is a supply of oxygen.

I had a big argument about this and it needs to be resolved. Can anyone share their opinion?

People have been doing it for centuries...
Except for the risk of fire there isn't anything significantly bad there. Sure there is some monoxide gas (or whatever it is called) but that amount is sooo negligible that paying attention to it will get you bad nicknames.

:) what kind of nicknames, Voffka?

That is my understanding too. People have done it before. I think it is crazy to claim that your health is at risk. Or maybe that is why people didn't live long in the oldn days? :) Joking... yeah it's the candles!! those evil candles!!!

i think you burn more oxygen than the candle :) now the more important question is: is a sleeping person safe when they sleep in the same room with themselves??
