Halfway through reading his manifesto, I realized he's the man who created Demeter. I love Demeter but never bought any until suddenly, it didn't seem as special as it once did. Must've been when he split with the company? But I LOVE the idea of a library-scented perfume.

despite my liking them very much, i don't own any Demeters. i have a problem with getting all obsessive and completest about collecting every single one of something, so it's best not to start.

none of the other CBs appeal to me, really. the combinations all sound either too flowery or too musky for my taste.

I tried that one when I went to his studio in Brooklyn and didn't find it especially pleasant, even though I do love libraries. Perhaps you'd find otherwise, I highly recommend checking out his studio and smelling things. I bought "honeydew" from his accords and it is one of my favorite perfumes to wear.

I think there is at least one place in Philly that carries it, but I can't remember where. The studio in Brooklyn is RUN by him and a friend. I saw him when I was there!
