According to USA Today, one in every seven books sold in the United States in the first quarter of an otherwise dismal 2009 was one of the four Twilight stories.

Saddening. Stephen King must wonder about our generation. Then again, even he admits that his stuff gets fairly hackneyed at times.

HAHAHA! when i think of trashy pop-lit, stephen king tops the list. then you've got tom clancy, john grisham, and dan brown. don't forget danielle steele, nora roberts, and sue grafton! and yes, i've read all of 'em. mmm...trash....

WTF. i will be the first to admit that i think robert pattinson is one foxy dude, but i tried reading the book (borrowed from a friend, would not purchase) and it was SO POORLY WRITTEN that i put it down after 5 minutes. ugh.
