out of curiosity, i decided to read some of the speeches of one of the last century's most influential persons. Hitler. all politics aside, the man was a brilliant orator and i wanted to see why. as i read, i began to understand some of the draw he had on the people of germany during his time. he spoke passionately, he spoke to connect with them on ( Read more... )

first i think to truly understand that power that hitler had you need to watch his speeches, not just read them. He was one of the first people to use film as a propaganda tool.
secdonly i think those are simply examples of when a thought gets taken to an extreme. one could argue that many of those same atrocities ("hatred and contumacy,...injustice and the violation of the rights of one in subordiantion to the desires of the many...") happened when we let captilism take full control of our econcomy here in the states.
Its a matter of finding a middle ground btwn the two economic theories.
