I love this, because they're both so amazing, Barack with his hardass and of COURSE he can convince Rahm to do anything, and Rahm such a twerp and OF COURSE he would try to resign. I loved the little underlying thread of 'oh this is great BUT...' and 'I really wanna be speaker...' and 'I should probably get going...' and 'wow I'm still here.' (Only you, of course, have loads more eloquence than that.)
Lovely little turns of phrase, also, I love the way you use words (‘eventually’ is five eternities in the twenty-four hour news cycle et cetty rah). Really, just gorgeous writing and I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH AND THE ENDING (THE *ENDING*!) AND YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE BRILLIANT. *SMACKS KISSES*

also: the ending killed me.

So many good lines that made me literally laugh out loud, and I loved the way the conversation flips around between the various parts (the repetition, and how they use each other's words to hurt and heal each other), and especially how you have them both fighting each other and fighting the world for each other. It feels true.
“Mr. President, respectfully I have to tell you to go fuck yourself.”
“Respectfully?”
“With the utmost respect, sir.”
^^ My favourite line ^^ :D

But what is being implied I ask you?
I went better safe than sorry because I’m a wuss who can’t write RPS porn, hence the ambiguity-and I did such a good job at ambiguous that even I don’t know exactly how our boys feel about each other.
Established relationship? And if so, how long?
Unrequited love? Requited Love? And if so, romantic or platonic?
In short, epic bromance is epic.
Thrilled you enjoyed the use of repetition and quoting back of each other’s words. I thought it was really essential to show the (for better or worse) sometimes maddening symbiotic nature of their relationship, so I’m relieved it worked.
And the GFY exchange was one of my faves. Because I am twelve.
