that wasn/t thompson, i believe. it was truman capote. (who said that bullshit about kerouac, not who died. shit, i think capote is dead, anyway.)

lol. it did strike me as odd, thompson wrote the travelogue of the 7o's much like on the road in the 50's and grapes of wrath in the 30's, but, i just ran with it (arguing with my parents is a BAD idea)

makes sense too, truman capote's a bit of a snot (scout's snotty friend...)
