Update: I'm just a dumbass.

I attatched the lens completely wrong (to the lens hood instead of the actually camera, hence it getting stuck and the lens hood breaking off. I can get a replacement part for like $5, so not all is lost.

Alright, so it turns out my movie is causing much controversy within North Carolina School of the Arts. They held an entire staff meeting to discuss copyright terms about using licensed characters. The school of film has its own lawyer to deal with such situations, and I can now (safely) do it ( Read more... )
