Personality: To put it simply, Snake is pretty much a blind badass.
No, really.
When introduced at the beginning of the game, Snake is described as looking somewhat "princely". This kind of description is, actually, quite accurate. Snake is calm, cautious, and analytical throughout his entire Nonary Game experience--and it's extremely difficult to get him out of that mode. Constantly the one in the group who piques up with an intelligent or insightful comment, Snake appears to have almost everything together.
... Which is why it's a surprise to Junpei to hear that Snake is, in fact, blind. Of course, this fact doesn't hinders Snake's abilities at all--he manages to get around just fine, and claims that his other senses are stronger due to the loss of his sight. In fact, Snake is almost arrogantly confident. He's aware of his limitations, it seems, but also acknowledges the fact that those 'limitations' can be removed with the use of his other skills. In fact, he outright states that he can hold (and even beat his opponent) his own in a fight. It's this kind of behavior that can make Snake kind of hard to handle at times. His confidence can sometimes come across as overconfidence. Couple that with the fact that has no qualms about showing up someone who underestimate him, and he came come across as somewhat holier-than-thou. This is by no means intentional.
Snake's intelligent, yes, as he demonstrates several times throughout the game. He's also cautious and fairly analytical. Calm, quiet, and outright composed, check. Still, Snake is by no means pompous or elitist--he's completely capable of acting light-hearted. In fact, he playfully teases Junpei on several instances. While Snake can be a bit of a distant individual, he is also a bit of an older-brother.
In fact, his older-brother personality makes up another big chunk of his character. When it comes to people he really, really cares for--Clover, in particular--he is fiercely loyal. In fact, Snake's extremely vengeful when people he loves are wronged (Clover). He is completely capable of kicking people's butts, and will do so should the need arise. Hurt people he loves? Prepare to handle a crazy, inhuman machine. Snake is a loving big-brother, and anyone who finds themselves at the end of his wrath... should watch out.
In summary, Snake is a princely character. Calm and reserved, intelligent and confident. Despite his blindness, he has no issues with holding out on his own, and is in fact a very beneficial member of the group.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
strengths
○ Snake is incredibly intelligent. He spews out a lot of knowledge during the course of the Nonary game, and it seems he's read up on a hella lot of things. Either way, he knows what he's talking about.
○ Snake's senses are a bit more fine-tuned than regular people's. This helps him get around, due to his blindness. His hearing, in particular, is very good.
○ Level-headed. Snake is extremely hard to catch off-guard, and even then he seems to turn the tables around rather easily.
○ He seems to be good at fighting, given his confident words against Junpei.
○ I'd assume he's very capable of taking care of himself, even with his blindness. He's very resourceful.
weaknesses
○ Despite how well he plays it off, Snake is still blind. This causes a bit of trouble for them later on, considering he's only able to recognize people via voices.
○ A bit unstable when it comes to people he cares about. He'll concentrate himself on destroying someone who does harm to Clover, in particular.
○ He can come off as a bit of an abrasive character. Considering his confidence, people can see him as arrogant. While he is confident, he's not full of himself.

Samples
First Person Sample: [there's a voice broadcasting on this feed. there's the annoying music in the background, as usual, but there's more than just that...
in fact, there might just be some crying. A voice cuts in, mid conversation.]
-- And a loss is a loss, to me or otherwise. I'm sure you can recover from it soon enough. [there's some more crying, mixed with some screams in the background: 'How the hell could you fight with your eyes closed... I never thought I'd ever lose to someone with their eyes closed... that's supposed to be a saying, damnit!!']
Actually, whether I had my eyes closed or not wouldn't affect the outcome at all. [baww. baww. it doesn't seem to be stopping. they don't seem to take Snake's words to heart. he chooses this moment to move away--at least judging from the rustling sounds on the feed.]
I've never seen someone so upset before. In fact, I feel like somewhat of a bully. [he pauses, a small 'skiiitty' sounding in the air.] ... Of course, only 'somewhat'.
Third Person Sample:
He woke to ringing.
Snake could tell from the moment he woke up that something was wrong. There was hesitation when he sat up in the bed, mainly because... well. He wasn't supposed to be in one.
It was a bit of a familiar situation, really. Waking up somewhere he wasn't supposed to be, with no idea where he was supposed to be. He had to admit, however, that the bed this time was much comfier than the one he woke up to in the Nonary Game -- if that could be called a bed. But the point was that he was lost. The annoying sound of an alarm clock echoed around the room as he thought this. With nothing else to do, Snake paused for a moment, pinpointing the source of the noise, before he reached over and felt around the side table. With a careful motion, he silenced the ringing clock, and let his thoughts wander in the now silent bedroom.
"Clover?" he called quietly. He had expected no reply, really--if Clover was here with him, she would've been up shortly after he had. That alarm clock was loud, and even she couldn't sleep through something like that.
It appears we've found ourselves in another of those... unpleasant situations, he thought to himself, but made to quietly remove himself from the bed. Snake steadied himself as he stood up, carefully moving to what he assumed to be the direction of the stairs. It was with little difficulty that he managed to walk down them, pausing just before the end of the wall beside him. The noise in the bottom floor alerted him to someone's presence, and he quietly stood there as he tried to listen for anything suspicious.
After a moment's observation, he felt fairly confident that there wasn't any immediate danger. Of course, that didn't mean there wasn't immediate confusion--which was just what he felt when the woman (young, but not too young, he assumed from her voice) referred to him.
"Good morning, dear! I was wondering when you'd get up," she spoke. Snake simply listened, trying to make sense of her words--but also stayed cautious, in case she tried anything strange. "Good luck on your journey today!"
Ah. So we're playing another game? "... Yes, thank you," Snake responded almost immediately. Though he was still running things through in his head, he at least had to sound natural. "I'm a little nervous, however."
"No need to worry, honey," the woman responded, easily, "You've wanted to try this from the beginning! Here's your bag. Your Pokémon's in there, too."
At that, Snake paused. Pokémon? "Of course. Thank you," he finished, and led himself out of the house with his new belongings.
It seemed like he'd been caught up in a familiar game, at least. He never thought that he'd be playing out a child's fantasy... though he had no intention of staying.
"Let's finish this game quickly, then," he said cheerfully, stepping out of the door into the light.
