I can't really say I'll miss Aveline, because I've seen her so very rarely over the last ten years or so. I never really got to know her as well as I'd have liked to; her path in life went in very different directions to mine, with only a few scattered crossroads.
She was an awesome person, and I mean that in the most literal way. There is little doubt that she will be remembered, since she certainly left an impression wherever she went. There is a substantial space left in the world for those that remain; I can only hope that it is filled by worthy successors.
I have said for a few years now that there are only a few places where pink belongs: Sunsets. Flowers. Aveline's jacket. That's how I'll remember her.
