It's early. Early enough that most people wouldn't be awake, if they didn't have work, but Billy's awake. His nose is pressed against Teddy's shoulder, but currently that's the only part of him that's touching the other boy, who he knows will be waking up any second to go to work. Billy isn't thinking; not yet - but he's awake enough to know that he doesn't want that to happen. At least, not right now. He wants to stay right where he is with Teddy right where he is.

He shifts a bit and one arm goes over his boyfriend's abs as if Teddy didn't have super-strength and the ability to push him off without any effort whatsoever. He pulls himself closer, his nose still on Teddy's shoulder, and refuses to move.

No one is going anywhere this morning.

Log-sleeper that he is, Teddy doesn't wake due to Billy's movement or even the rising sun, but it takes the alarm going off next to the bed to stir him into reluctant wakefulness. Enough, at least, to reach over and hit the sleep button. It's then that he notices that his boyfriend is being uncommon clingy.

He takes a moment to clear his throat, knowing that Billy should have been woke by the alarm even if he does like to roll over and go back to sleep. "'Morning," he murmurs, taking a moment to slowly come to wakefulness.

Teddy probably sees a black fluffy head move a little, just to accommodate the movement, but his arm stays where it is and his nose presses in a little closer to Teddy's skin. Billy sniffs a bit. "Hrro."

He's actually more awake than Teddy is but his mouth is against Teddy's arm and he's not moving his face away. It's quiet and warm in the bed and Billy doesn't want to go anywhere.

Of course eventually he'll have to move so that Teddy can get ready for work and he'll have to pick a shirt from the pile-o-shirts on the floor and go milk Jean and feed the experiments but he doesn't want to. He wants to stay right here all day.

Teddy lays still for a moment and watches Billy's lack of movement. It's astonishing, the lifelike impression of a limpet Billy can do with so little effort. He doesn't really mind, secretly, but he knew that if he let Billy know that then mornings like these would happen a lot more often. And that would be a good thing, because of the snuggling and cuddling, but also a bad thing, because of the loss of a job.

So he looks over and blows a little in Billy's hair's direction.

"Time to go to work," he reminds gently.

Billy doesn't like going shopping. It's not something he finds any particular interest in, so a bribe like the one that Teddy offered was pretty much necessary to keep him from concocting some elaborate excuse to not go. But now that part of the day is over, and so is the game of capture the flag. Billy's kind of tired and kind of wired at the same time, and he's flopped facedown on the bed in his new slacks plus button up shirt.

And no cape. Teddy should give himself a good big pat on the back.

Instead, when Teddy follows his boyfriend into the room he gives him a pat on the back, sitting down beside him.

"Feeling ready for that shower? I definitely am."

It was an exciting and successful day by all accounts. Nobody got hurt or had their pride seriously destroyed by the capture the flag even if nobody really won. Then they'd spent a lot of time and money giving Billy's wardrobe an update and just as before, nobody got hurt or had their pride seriously destroyed. He was extremely wired, if also tired.

Of course, Teddy had been forced to watch Billy change in and out of outfits all day when he wasn't allowed to sneak into the changing room to make out. That had been painful. Not to mention he'd promised Billy a reward of the sexual variety.

Billy pulls a pillow to his face. "Showerrrrrr," he slurs into the pillow, then turns his head a little to look up at Teddy, who as usual looks like some kind of ridiculous blond god. He had managed to resist pulling him into one of the dressing room stalls and kissing him there, but only just, and now he's allowed to touch as much as he likes.

So his hands go around Teddy's waist.

"No more button down shirts," he moans into Teddy's hip. "Jeans. I want jeaaaaans."

The whining may be unnecessary but he does it anyway.

"Do I need to carry you?"

Teddy reaches down to dig his fingers into Billy's eternally mussed hair. He's kind of joking and kind of not. He'd do it, of course, though he's not sure if Billy would let him. The whining didn't really faze him, if Billy was really upset he wouldn't be flopping around all over Teddy.

"Or maybe if you're that tired we should take a bath so you don't have to stand up."
