It does feel empty. I guess when you're used to being around six other people day in and day out, when a few leave it makes a bigger difference than you expected.
I'm voting for a dog. You can't exactly jog with a cat. And as for the beer... four.
It's good to eventually move on when someone that we care about is no longer there for us. It doesn't mean that you ever have to think about life without someone as 'abnormal.' After all while they aren't really around, their presence is still felt.
I also think that a pet is a good idea for almost anyone.

I've never had the chance to have a pet. For the moment I'm content enough to enjoy the pets of my friends and acquaintances.
