First I should probably say that yeah, I'm back, again. And I'm even glad to be back. I was at home for the same amount of time as I was gone here, and I guess I could give the people from my world a few week's worth of updates but it's not much. Everyone's still here, right? Runaways? Nate? Claire ( Read more... )

Do you feel it in your hips? Is it time for a replacement?

I think my hips are holding out, but you know standing up all day is murder on my knees.

I think somebody should get married whenever they love the other person enough. I've been told I'm too young, but I have my reasons why I want to do it, though I think love happened later.

I wouldn't know about relationships here. Sorry.

I'm still here. As selfish as it is, I'm glad that you're back.

Why do you feel old?

Well, I'm glad you're here too. So long as we're all here together it's not as bad.

I feel like I've been through too much to really be 18, you know? I can't imagine going back to high school and doing the whole... basketball and exams and things.

I tried that, after going through a lot of things. Speaking from personal experience, I can't exactly say that it's easy to adjust. I don't think that makes you old, though. I just think it makes you... different.

My life's just been so packed full of stuff that I don't think most people ever experience in their lifetime. It frustrates me a little sometimes that adults say "you don't understand" when maybe I understand more than they do.

But I came to terms with being different a long time ago, I guess. This is just one more difference.

It shouldn't be about age---just how ready you and the other person are, how much you're sure it's what you want.

But how do you measure readiness and sureness? There's no going back, after all.

oh backdating...how i depend on it sob... did anyone tell teddy about nate leaving yet? :x filmzbyzach July 11 2009, 16:27:19 UTC
Well, you can go back. It's called divorce, but...ummm...

Everyone measures it differently, if you measure it, but I never really thought of it as something you could price or gauge like that. If you can think of it like any commitment that means a lot to you though---even in different ways, the commitment to be a good friend even, before anything, and it's just those added feelings that make you think it might be a good thing to go further, to have that extra, I think that's pretty ready. Starting strong is important before following through on it, anyway, I mean....I don't know if that made any actual sense.

Saving the world is---

Just glad to have you back.

How old you are is a lot about how you feel----but not all people would say the feeling of being old would be a bad thing.

You're not old though, obviously.

I'm what...ten years older? More?

I'm... glad to be back.

I don't know if it's really a bad thing, it's more like. "The years weigh heavily upon my soul" sort of thing.

Eighteen. Not that old.

I think I have almost everything memorized now.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad all of the time, but more like depending on what's weighing on us, it can feel more one way or the other. If we can have both though, I figure...we owe it to ourselves to be glad for the good parts, even if the bad parts happen more often...

See? I'm an old man compared to you.

I find that the things you don't remember so often are the ones you don't use as often, so it's not such a big deal.

I don't know if it's necessarily a bad thing, but it does feel like I can't go back.

Do you feel like an old man?
