i haven't been on the internet for about a week now... so there's a few things to catch up on. sometime really early this week there was some thunderstorm that was pretty big. let's compare the weather:
a sunny Sunday afternoon
about 3 days later there was a thunderstorm. look at the sky... there's a distinct split of colour.
and this was the start of the thunderstorm which eventually turned into darker clouds and hurling winds.
on Friday i went to a baseball game because we had free tickets. i ate peanuts and had ice-tea, got one of those foam fingers, and one time said "hey batta, batta! Sa-WING batta!" for the heck of it. hahha. oh and a wave was started and went around the stadium about 8 times! had an ok time that day... but even better before the game when we ate at this really good restaurant. oh my! such good food!
an on-coming wave
Blue Jays against White Sox
a picture of a segway between the stadium and the subway/train station... just thought i'd post it up.
on Saturday my family decided to take a 2 hour drive to a place to go to church. we were supposed to head to Montreal on Saturday... i would've much preferred that. a 6 hour drive but a much more cultured place plus the churches there are nice too.
a big church.
on Sunday my cousins had a barbeque... i didn't do anything for about 5 hours. although it was fun watching the people there because 5 people had the Nintendo DS (3 of them were in their 20's and the other 2 were kids) and they were all playing one game together. they were all lined up on the couch concentrating really hard on the game... one of my cousin's friend took a picture but i didn't have a camera with me that day. i watched technology at play and how it connected these people through one game but then made them so distant from each other because they weren't talking or interacting with the actual people they were playing with, but rather the game.
it was also nice to see that my cousin's friends from high school are still friends and still hang out with each other.
on Monday i went out to watch a movie called Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. it was pretty funny. i spilled some salsa on my shirt before the movie started and only remembered i did until a while after the movie when we went to a restaurant. and before we were seated i was asked if i wanted a colouring page! what does it take to get a growth spurt? haha... oh well.
somtime that week i watched the movie called Before Sunrise and i absolutely am in love with it! the story is amazing, their conversations are brilliant, the intimacy between the two is just so beautiful!
