This afternoon I went to a Black History Month event sponsored by Love Music Hate Racism at Barking College - Barking has 12 British National Party Councillors. Love Music had a workshop at the event ( photos under the cut )

There were lots of people there, people tend to sit at the back at these things. Plus, it could have been while there was a break and we were showing the DVD while people got food and that, I can't remember, but generally given that it was organised at very short notice it was a well attended local event.

That's good that there was a good turnout, and like you say, at such short notice, that is a coup.
