Think how many lives (along with billions of dollars) could have been saved if instead of building that remote bridge in Alaska, Bush had simply funded the leeves to withstand more then a catigory 3 hurricane. There certainly was enough warning years beforehand.

I agree - Hurricane Katrina was a horrible natural disaster (though not as bad as the Hurricane of 1900) and Katrina exposed our government's weak/non-existant areas. But would you please take a moment and focus not on the numerous national disasters of this time period (which you analyze real well), but on your hebrew school friends who worry about you and miss you very much.
