How good of a musical ear do you have?

There is a tone deafness test courtesy of the Music and Neuroimaging laboratory at Beth Israel Deaconess and Harvard Medical School on the Web hereI got a 72.2% correct score; apparently "above 70% is considered normal performance and above 80% very good performance ( Read more... )

That's really interesting. I got 83.3% on the first one. I'm good up to tones 4.2 Hz apart. But I only got 56% right on the rhythm test. Dude, those are difficult. And heck, I consider myself to be a musician to some extent.

Hey, you can dance. That's what matters, right? ;)

I got 88.9% on the pitch/memory text, but I have had 5 years of musical training.

I got 1.5 Hz on the tone test. I'm kind of surprised at the lower scores here. To my ear, all the tones differences are really obvious until about .75. After that, I was right only about half the time. Did you employ the replay button when you tested? I used it a lot when I got down to the smaller frequency differences.

I somehow managed an 88% on the rhythm test, but I really felt like I was guessing a lot of the time.
