It's always useful to save tins from biscuits or chockies - the kind you get at Christmas. They're cheaper than fancy cake boxes too :-)

A few good storage boxes are worth having too. Most of the cake decorating stuff you can pick up from books - the really fancy stuff like making wee flowers isn't really necessary. I might bring you over one of my books....

Yeah, I have one of the tins that you get with chocolates in them cause it's great for cakes, you just use it upside down and put the cake on the lid, then use the actual tin as the 'lid'. But I used it to take my meringues into work on Thurs (or whenever it was) and haven't brought it back yet. I know it's a very expensive tub but it is very cool :)

I'm making carrot cake this week :) but your chocolate and rasberry cake sounds more scrummy. x
