Me personally, less than 20 times a day, but me and my spouse together, probably in the 20-30 range.

yeah, for me alone it's under 20, but for the whole household, it's probably 30 or more on average.

Looking at the results, I see the opportunity for a scientific study here: Do people normally underestimate the number of times they open and close their fridge door(s) per day?

I don't know--I've never counted myself :-D It just seems like one of those things we take for granted.

it depends on how long i am at home on a given day. i think the answer would be close to 20, but i don't know which way it usually tips. more meals at home of course means more ventures to and from the refrigerator, multiple openings and closings each meal, plus beverages in between.
