Just saw X-Men: First Class last night

 It was really really gay. And quite good, despite some plotholes and a lack of subtlety--but you can find subtlety in fanfic, so I guess that's alright. James McAvoy was really good, and Michael Fassbender was adequate. I was annoyed that they included Wasp but called her Angel. WTF?

It was also neat that the LGBT metaphor was carried through this

Reaction to this movie seems so divisive, but I still want to see it. I've never actually seen an entire X-Men movie and am not very familiar with the characters, but it appealed to me nonetheless. I'm intrigued by what you're saying.

I just saw that there's McAvoy/Fassbender RPF out there (on AO3).

You should see the first X-Men movie! It has it's flaws, and granted, I saw it when I was 9, but I liked it a lot. And then the sequel is better. And has Emma Page! (Briefly.) But don't see the third one or the Wolverine movie, especially if you like characterization or Deadpool.
