Suddenly having regrets about going to school and planning to enter workforce..

I'm too weird. As evidenced by my practicum evaluation.

Should have become an artist instead. Even though lacking talent.

Crap.

..or is this part of the modern desire to continue childhood forever?

FINGERPAINTS!

Um, you are also a good student and generally very competent and conscientious!

Screw everyone for not getting "weird". Don't let the norms get you down.

Hugs.

haha aw, thank you for your comments.. why did you delete the "at least you know how to eat lunch" one? It was amazing.

Well, it all stemmed from that damned evaluation. Wherein both my supervisor (who didn't really supervise, it was other people there) and humorless windbag/sea hag faculty liason praised me for my work but then proceeded to pick me apart personally for 10 minutes.. some pointless lecture about not having enough confidence, and having poor body language because I crossed my arms once. OH NO!

It just bugged me because I was the one who noted the anxiety around new people thing waaayyy back. What else can I do but reflect on it.

ANYWHO

I'm guessing you're going to burlesque tonight? Or will it be Menomena? If I spelled it right..

I love that some one could criticize a lack of confidence after tearing you apart for ten minutes. Perhaps the two are related?

Hey! I'd enjoy having someone to be weird with in the work place. If all weirdos give up, what are the other weirdos stuck in an office with a bunch of stiffs and prudes going to do? Who would I make work innappropriate comments to? Who would understand if I went out into rainy summer day grinning at the sky or my inevitable happy greeting of the first snow (even if I don't like the rest of winter quite as much as you)?

That said I will likely be my own boss so I could conceivably simply say fuck you to a lot of those working stiffs rather than pretend to have things in common with the ones I really don't have anything in common with (although in all likelihood I would simply ignore as much boring activity as possible).

You have talent as an artist as evidenced by that painting of yours of that creepy forest ... you could probably draw/paint for Stephen King.
