Star Trek, a bear's view

I was not as enamored with the current Star Trek movie as many of my friends seem to be. The movie, as a movie was good, great effects, good acting, etc. But, as a Star Trek prequel I think it fell short. Kind of took an easy way out.

I knew there was no way to re-write the caricatures without some stupid time warp thing. Fine, whatever, they did it, im just glad they didn't fix it in the end.

I did forget one thing in my rant which you mentioned. I felt cheated as hell with the Kobayashi Maru. Your right it was cocky and stupid.
