The Slam Semifinal was last night. Nine poets competed for six spots in next Tuesday's Slam-Off (the slam that determines which five poets will constitute Team Austin 2008). In other words, a lot was on the line

Yes, wonderful and quite unexpected. But I've seen it. In fact, I've seen it in Austin. Last year, Big Poppa E donated his slot so someone else coul slam/be on the team.
