its a lovely open letter rach. i couldnt have written it better myself.
try to remain strong and understanding of people who would assume things about you.
many times, people who cannot find a way to honestly deal with their feelings, be it about their own sexuality or some other issue they needs to be addressed, end up projecting the very thing that worries them about themselves, onto another person. usually the target person is someone outside of their comfort zone. they also usually chose someone that they perceive as weaker than themselves, or someone (they can really tell) who possesses so much more grace than they themselves can muster, that they know they will be safe from retaliation.

Barb Miracle, you are a miracle, I know you get this all the time but you should know it's the honest-to-god truth! That's why I was smiling at you during that meeting, I just knew that what you had to say would make me feel so much better. You make such good points and I know that what you say is the truth, I couldn't put anymore faith in anyone than you. I know how to act strong, I'm gonna give it to them hard, laugh at them, hold my head high, I'm not letting it get to me, these girls are stupid as shit. Anyway, as you know softball players are lesbians, and therefore want me.
