Holy crap - those things look like the baby Rodans from a Godzilla movie! Owls get cuter when they get older. Just sayin'.
I had a pet crawdad for a while. We live near a canal, and my friend's older brother got it for me. I think I was about seven or eight years old then. I also had pet turtles, snakes, toads, frogs, a hermit crab, and bugs! All kinds of bugs!
Baby pigeons are so ugly they're cute. I saw one on the way to the library and thought, what IS that thing? It's hideous! It's so hideous it's adorable. I have 3 hermit crabs now. I love them, but they don't come up a whole lot. i wish they would more. I kept a lot of bugs when I lived in MS. Praying mantises and grasshoppers. This year I want to try to raise butterflies and moths successfully.
I hope you put up plenty of photos of the butterflies and moths, if you do go through with that plan.
Yeah hermit crabs - not the most social, are they? I guess the name is a bit of a clue on that one. Huh, I sort of wish I had one again, although I don't have time for the stuff I want to do right now, let alone adding a pet - even a little crab - to the mix.
I got to get a camera. At least these moth eggs someone gave me seem to be getting bigger. I hope I can keep them alive, or at least most of them.
I miss big giant Calanthe. He'd sit next to me on the couch when I took him out. The little Dudes mostly hide and molt, but when they come up I seize them and say hi to them. They respond by crawling on my arm.
