I have a house

Mom's move went fantastically well this weekend. I did a lot of cheerleading. The joke that comes out of it for us is me saying "You're doing GREAT!" Thanks for writing! I hope that I will be able to help my parents move when the time comes for them to find a smaller place. My mom has been talking about that recently. She was glad I took her on my apartment hunts so she could get an idea of what she can afford when she sells the house.

Stuff. We have been dealing with that lately. What to keep. What to toss. I was glad to be able to give away more bulky stuff last night. It is an ongoing process.

How long have they lived there? If she wants to be moving soon, I would recommend doing some small projects to get parts of the house ready, maybe tackle things they havent't touched or used in a while, and maybe have a garage sale in the springtime. Mom went with an "everything for a quarter" policy for the one she had earlier this year and made a couple hundred dollars. It's not a bad gig, and that can help get them into the mindset of moving and make it easier when the time comes.

I have been thinking about stuff a lot lately, for obvious reasons. I'm going to be bringing all my stuff here. The thought of unpacking everything is just amazing!
