Weird dream last night...
I am not sure where I am, but it is like a Haitian village or maybe Creole. Everything is lashed together with ropes. It's like some sort of bar/restaurant/meeting place thing but it has a special purpose as there is a powerful man who can be found there. I go in and this woman's voice welcomes me but I cannot see her. Somehow she is always off

Images of sacrifice here. The British Bog Bodies show lots of evidence of human sacrifice, which the Celts did a lot... the cloth character smacks of the cloth "voodoo dolls" that real Vodou practitioners don't use, but are part of misunderstanding of the tradition via Hollywood. Rum and burning are sacrificial actions. One always eats the sacrificial food in this tradition, nothing is wasted...
The Zombi erupted from Haitian culture, and was hollywood-ified into the walking dead. Maybe look into the Haitian Zombi and what it means, as opposed to what zombies have become in our cultural imagination. May be a clue there.
I'm guessing Papa has something in mind you need to do, and there may be some sacrifice that accompanies it. This is good - he's apparently taken a shine to you. He's great to have as an ally, but he'll drive you nuts if you expect direct communication...
