This is a really great fic. I expecially like what you did with Brad, re: the birth of the iceman. That's usually written as "I can't deal with my emotions" but to have it be him dealing with a violent place inside of him is really, really interesting. It adds some amazing dimension to the character.

And re: Brad, I personally have always suspected that anyone who's that self-contained and guarded and controlled is either a sociopath, or is sitting on an absolute powder keg of emotion somewhere deep inside. And since obviously our Brad could never be a sociopath, well, there you go.

awesome story - especially for your first! I really enjoyed this AU look at our guys, and the ways they're totally them, even given a radically different situation

Thank you! It was truly a pretty nutty scenario for a GK AU, but that's why I liked it. I guess this proves that the GK boys really can be put anywhere and still be their awesome, frustrating selves, eh?

I loved reading this. The characterizations are so well done and while I, very luckily, speak from inexperience I think you handled Nate dealing with the attack and the aftermath well. You didn't emasculate him; yes, he felt weak but he wasn't and I loved the moment Brad pointed this out to him as well as getting him to seek professional help. Also, I liked the "shameless smut" :D Excellent fic!

I am so pleased you liked how the PTSD thing was handled. I only have the most peripheral experience with it myself, so I was a tad worried about that. And I especially didn't want to handle it in a way that took away from Nate's BAMFness, so thanks for the reassurance that I didn't!

Also, I liked the "shameless smut"

That was gorgeous and hot and funny and just a lovely AU!So much love for the fic,Nate's POV was great and love Brad getting back and cleaning(lol) and RayRay&Walt being awesome.

Thank you! I think the part I'm most pleased about, honestly, was how awesome Ray and Walt turned out to be, and how unexpectedly essential they were to the story. I wasn't even initially planning to have Ray in the story at all, but then I was like, duh - if Walt is going to be the one to smack Nate upside the head for being an idiot, then obviously Ray has to be there to do the same for Brad!
