Sometimes, I think that there is a fine line between extreme goodness and extreme evil. The urge to right wrongs, to issue retribution, is bound at its heart to be rooted (at least partially) in a notion of one's own essential rightness. Many years ago, when I was sorted, there was never any question of my House. Necessity drives me now, and that sort of urgency can begin to resemble ambition.
