Someone's done some AED training! I could hear the nasal tone of the device's voice.

And they keep changing the rules about how many people, how many compressions, now you don't do ANY breathing for them - it's confusing unless you continually refresh.

Thanks! (And yeah, I wish they'd stick with one version for a year or two!)

All hands on deck indeed! I particularly like how you included the important necessity of designating someone to call emergency services. That's a critical detail that isn't often captured in stories like this. Really well written!

Thanks! Yeah, calling emergency services is one of the first things that should be done, and it gets overlooked so often it's scary. (Also having someone for crowd control to prevent the Ring of Death that people make around a victim!)

We are taught to compress to thirty. Something about the oxygen not getting anywhere helpful until the 17th compression. They keep changing the rules. I really like your choice of the three involved in this rescue. Time passes exceedingly slowly before the ambulance actually arrives.

*double checks sources* Aw, crap. It's 15-2 for 2-person CPR on a CHILD, not an adult. First Aid Fail. : (

And now I must get out the Editing pen!

I like this one, it's a very fun very unlikely trio, taking a very important job seriously. :)
