I have met one LJ person. To be fair, I only have two other Australians on my f-list, and one lives a long way from me. The one I've met lives three hours away and visits my town for work a couple of times a year, so it's easy to catch up. Actually, she came up with a good word for meeting online friends: defictionalising. :-)
I don't mind the dentist. I mean, I'd rather not have someone poking about in my mouth, all things considered, but it's tolerable. Unlike the person above, I would rather go to the dentist than get a mani/pedi. I really don't like the idea of people touching my fingers and toes.
i've met a handful of lj friends. maybe 6 or 7...there's 1 that lives about 5 minutes from me that i've never met and we even have mutual friends. it's strange but i've never really had the urge to meet her otherwise and i think she feels the same.
i dont mind the dentist at all. my dentist is actually pretty cool and high tech. they make it fun.

then there are another 4 or 5 who i met at other online venues (various forums and whatnot) who added me on LJ and we met sometime after that.
