I finally took advantage of living so close to the ocean today. I went rollerblading at Venice. It has been ages since I rollerbladed. I did quite well despite checking out all of the surfer boys at the same time. I think I'm going to start substituting some of my usual workouts with jogs on the beach from now on. If anyone knows a good place

I usually park up around Abbot Kinney and roller blade all the way in. There are some neighborhoods closer to the Marina where you can find street parking, but getting to the bike path is a bitch from there (and it ends at Washington Blvd).

This lot is $1 per hour, 2 hours max. There are also meters there with $1 per hour and a 5 hour max. I usually park here for 2 hours and rollerblade back and forth down to Venice and then back up to Will Rogers.
