Yeah, I heard about this post from some other people, believe it or not. To tell you the truth, I'm not at all suprised that this is the state of things for low-ranking EA employees

Oh, and the plot has thickenned since then. A group of EA employees are attempting to put together a class action lawsuit against the company. I hope they give it to EA right up their corporate ass!
I'm pretty glad I didn't seriously pursue entering the game design business. Mega corporations like EA are just waiting for kids like me with nothing but a BS in comp. sci. & a dream, willing to do whatever it takes to take part in something that he loves. When they finally burnt me out & I either quit or got fired, there would, no doubt, be another naive kid who'd be dying to take my place. And the wheel just keeps spinning & spinning.
What EA is doing is horrible, however, companies only do this when their employees ALLOW them to do this to them. Many in the industry have been conditioned to believe "you have to pay the priceto be in the business that you love". But, just like college fraternity hazing, what exactly does working to the point of exhaustion accomplish, especially if the quality of that work is going to steadily
