I think a good part of feeling not like you're home is that you know that your current life is in transit. Until both you and your wife have a clear idea of where you will be staying and digging in permanent roots... that feeling won't go away, sad as it is to say.

Also, I'm with the wife = we miss you. I will have to re-double my efforts of trying to arrange a visit. Especially since you can now make me Philly Cheesestake sammiches. Yum.
