Get well soon! I never remember to go to the doctor for my prescriptions, mostly because my doctor is still in my parents' town and so most times my mom goes for me...how grown up I am :D
Oh, that must have been something. XD Dana used to do this with her dentist appointments and we usually ended up at the emergency ward - which was always full of people.
Right, dogs. Cats are indifferent little bastards. :D Anyway, they went to bed with me after I got back, but then they got bored and Gure crawled under the laundry heap to play hide-and-seek with Aya.
Poor pony_rocks! That kind of sick is awful, especially the part about having to haul yourself out to the doctor in the middle of feeling sick. Sigh. Bring back housecalls!
(But on the bright side, you've got that fancy European health insurance that actually works, right?)
Aw, right. Come to think of it, my doctor does housecalls... except that I'd hate to bring her to our apartment full of laundry waiting to be ironed. XD
(The health insurance is definitely the bright side, though. I cannot complain in the slightest.)
This one is even clean, but it's such a large pile... O.o
Well, I guess that if I had a nasty fever or something, I'd ask for the housecall. But luckily I feel better now. Nose still stuffy, though, but I'm more on the annoyed side rather than really sick. :D
Yeah, a doctor shouldn't judge you for having dirty laundry in your apartment*. In fact, dirty laundry could indicate to them that you are, in fact, sick. (Surprise, surprise!)
Feel better soon!
*OK, actually, IIRC, some Polish doctors could get a bit judgmental. I have no idea what it's like in CR. But it's not their job to critique your housekeeping abilities. The only type of situation health care providers should speak up is if you're a frail old lady, and there's enough obstacles at your place that you're very likely to fall and break every bone in your body...
Right, one is entitled to a messy apartment if he's sick. But the fact is that during the months when my asthma bothers me a bit more than I'd like (though it is considered mild even at its worst), I try to keep the flat immaculate - just in case I needed a housecall (there never had to be one, fortunately, as even my worst attack is easily managed by medicine). XD

The housecalls are not done anymore in the USA?
