I watched Avatar this morning. It was a CG marvel, unequaled in its presentation, etc. Despite the realism, I was still at arm's length from the underlying story. I was much more moved by The Princess and The Frog than this (if you had to pick one or the other, I'd choose the latter, frankly

Learning audio stuff is nice. Maribeth's class is pretty awesome, a broad overview of audio stuff. You may want to take some ECE classes if you are up for punishment.

I may have to sit in on anything non-major related... I run out of aid in the Fall (and won't graduate until the Spring afterwards :p). Hopefully I can overload Maribeth's class. If not, I'll sit in it anyway! Most professors don't seem to care if I do this.

Thanks for the kudos, though it was just a little sketch. And I suppose this is the fun of it, being able to go from zero to something in less than an hour of mucking about.

There are so many classes I want to take that I shall have to decline due to them not fulfilling requirements. :-(

(Perhaps this means I should go to grad school? Maybe? Let's see how I feel next Fall...)

When I left undergrad, I felt that just as I was getting to the really good stuff, they made me graduate. A lot of people told me that if I felt that way, I should go to grad school. I'm glad I finally did! (I want you to come to IU out of self-interest, but whether it would be a good choice really depends on what you want to study.)

That's a pretty awesome Processing applet. I notice that there's a static number of nodes on the screen at a time (I'm guessing that's maxSize), and they never fade -- I was kind of expecting them to fade away after a while, like bubbles. It would also be pretty cool if the length of time they stayed there was related (maybe inversely) to the size.

I didn't even think to have them fade out via the alpha channel, or via time based... and these are things I may have to revisit this weekend. :-)
