Thing 1. This morning there was a tiny baby preying mantis on my bathroom curtain, trying to look like a twig. I put him out in the garden.

Thing 2. Today I'm driving up to Perth to catch the afternoon flight to Broome to do some work, and there's a cyclone warning just north of Broome. Yike

thanks Chris! The flight was lovely and relaxing and not very bumpy, but the next one on Sunday over to Kununurra won't be smooth as the cyclone's all over the place. Oh well. It's an adventure. It's incredibly hot and humid here.
